My name is Jen. I try to keep my life simple but most of the time things are more complicated than they seem. I’m a mom, a Ruby on Rails developer, a lover of the outdoors, and a knitting enthusiast. I will never turn down chocolate, cannot stand terrible drivers, love a good IPA, and am constantly lured by auctions and yard sales. Little things make me happy, little things make me upset. It’s complicated.

We have lots in common. Yea for keeping things simple (though it’s not easy) flea markets/ garage sales and CHOCOLATE.
Keep on writing. You’re talented!
Thanks for the compliment! I need to keep up with the blog more. I just get really sidetracked! I plan on checking your blog out as well. It’s always nice to meet people who share the same interests.
I really like your Ear Warmer….
Since I am a beginer I have problem understanding pattern.
Could you tell me what m1f In this sentence mean?
On wrong side: sl1, p1, knit into the back and front of next stitch, m1f, *p1, k1*, repeat between * until last two stitches, p2.
I would really appreciate it…thank you Diane
Hi Diane,
The M1F is as follows: From the front, lift loop between stitches with left needle, knit into back of loop. So you’re making a new stitch out of the the yarn that sits in between two stitches. I believe it’s also called a M1L. I’ll add it to the post to be a little more clear. Let me know if you have any other questions!
